Special Big Lake Camps and Activities

Family Camps:

Don't let the kids have all the excitement. Bring the whole family to Big Lake for a time of relaxation and exhilirating fun. Get a total camp experience without the hassle of tents and canned food. "All you can eat" meals and boundless recreation can be yours. Our goal is to enhance your family's togetherness and provide spiritual refreshment during this extended weekend. It is also a great introduction to camp for children who are too young or nervous about leaving home.

Adults (13+) $140 each
Children (6-12) $90

ABBA's Child Camp:

Big Lake offers a camp with support based counseling for children aged 7-15 who have experience the death of an immediate family member. This loss can be overwhelming for anyone and kids need to know that they are not alone as they deal with these new and sometimes scary feelings.

ABBA's Child in many ways is a typical summer camp offering a wide variety of supervised activities. From swimming, canoeing, and the "Rocket", to archery, horseback riding and sports - there is fun and adventure throughout the day. Two hour support group sessions are scheduled daily for children to interact with peers who are facing similar loss. Art, crafts, music, story telling, writing, and games are designed to assist with the healing process. Afternoons and evenings are spent rotating through the awesome array of camp activities.

ABBA's Child 1 (ages 7-11) - July 6-13
ABBA's Child 2 (ages 12-15) - August 10-17

Bj. Christensen Memorial Golf Benefit

Don't miss the tenth annual golf benefit at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club on September 7, 2008 at 1 PM. Find three friends or "team ringers" to join you for this four-person scramble benefit for Big Lake Youth Camp. Prizes awarded to low gross and low net teams.
