Staff / Alumni
Full-time or year-round staff:
Full-time staff needs do not turn over quickly. There are no positions available at this time. When they are available it will be reflected here.
Summer staff:
Many campers grow up to become staff and many staff find that once camp is "in your blood" it becomes a way of life. Those are good things - we hope that the values of camp will reflect themselves in the lives of our staff and alumni. If you are interested in becoming a staff member here are some of the basic qualifications:
1. A Seventh-day Adventist Christian
2. Ability to share the good news of Jesus
3. At least 17 years of age
4. Good health and vitality
5. Ability to relate to children
6. Ability to fulfill responsibilities
7. Ability to work with a group, take direction and advice
Responsibilities:
1.Understand, accept and follow the philosophy, operational goals, and objectives of camp.
2.Participate in all staff conferences and meetings.
3. Develop skills and attitudes needed to do the best possible job
4. Assist other staff in any way you can to develop a spirit of cooperation.
5. Communicate with your peers and superiors on any point or question of concern.

Alumni:
We are hoping to develop increased interaction with our alumni staff. Irregular but occasional newsletters are sent to our alumni mailing list. If you are a Big Lake alumni staff member and would like to receive the Big Lake Trek please send us a note through the "contact us" section. Thanks.
