Location and Environment Statement

Working in conjunction with the McKenzie River Ranger District and the U.S. Forest Service, Big Lake Youth Camp is pleased to offer you retreat facilities on over 20 acres of National Forest Land. Located at crest of the Cascades at the base of Mt. Washington, our facilities are surrounded by fir trees edging the eastern shore of our pristine clear lake.

Since wheeled and motorized vehicles aren’t allowed in the wilderness, it’s a great opportunity for you to tour the nearby forest with your group on foot. Or for the more adventurous split up into smaller groups of 12 and pick up a Group Wilderness Permit from our Camp Ranger to head deeper into a wilderness experience.
